Follow my Sunday Shoppe board on Pinterest and you will instantly get what Sunday Shoppe is about. It is my dream lifestyle shop which I will open “when I grow up”. Until then, Sunday Shoppe is just my little imaginary store and the latest addition to it is nothing else but the awesome, dirty, sexy frank coffee scrub. Yum.

It promises to smooth away cellulite, humps and bumps, stretch marks and make your skin picture perfect beautiful. Well, I can’t wait to give it a try. The Aussies always manage to GET IT somehow…

And did I mention it’s all natural? Could it get any better?

My all-time favorite Yara of Chapter Friday (formerly This Chick’s Got Style) is the queen of lounging. She loves to cuddle up in soft fabrics at home and when she captures these moments it is sure that we are up for a treat as the photos and their atmosphere are simply breathtaking. Look at the pic below, doesn’t it just make you want to jump right into your bed and enjoy a day of doing sweet nothing (well, if nothing else, I learned this well from the Italian culture, dolce far niente)

 

And so I was so excited to see the new chapter of her blog which will basically tell us about how some gorgeous creative industry peeps like to chill at home. Definitely something to covet for us Sunday Shoppe loungers.

We’ve all been there. Lazy Friday nights when everyone’s all about going out out out and you just wanna stay in in in and lounge. Good for you! 5 movies for daydreaming ’bout summer

Watching series and movies is an instant pick-me-up. I often make my movie choices based on my current mood: when I am excited about an upcoming holiday I watch all movies set in my destination and when I feel down it is time for re-watching one of the SATC movies (fingers crossed for the 3rd sequel).

Now that spring has finally arrived it is time to start daydreaming about the upcoming summer. Here is a list of my favorite summer-themed movies set in wonderful European holiday destinations! Get on something comfy-chic, pop some corn and get lost in the atmosphere.

1. A Good Year – Forgive my lips. They find joy in the most unusual places.

Set in beautiful Provence. During the movie you might or might not start to crave wine.

 

 

 

2. Under the Tuscan Sun – Signora, please stop being so sad!

Set in Italy’s most remarkable region, Tuscany (with a quick visit to Positano on the Amalfi Coast). Love is a tricky thing, peeps.

 

3. Letter to Juliet – I think it’s a story worth telling.

Again Italy, Verona this time around (and many more to come). If you like a good old-fashioned love story with a twist you just gonna love this movie.

 

4. To Rome with Love – If something is too good to be true, you can bet it’s not.

An anthology movie (think of Love Actually) about love, and loss, and fear with Rome in the background.

 

5. Vicky Cristina Barcelona – Cristina continued searching… certain only of what she didn’t want.

Barcelona, Oviedo and some overwhelming emotions that hidden unsurfaced in all of us, ladies. A movie I could watch on repeat forever.

 

Basic Leggings for Lounging

I am sure that you are all familiar with the LEGGINGS ARE NO PANTS movement. Okay, it is not really a movement, but I certainly have the urge to shout at girls on the street/in parties that leggings are ain’t no freaking pants! Seriously, girls, just learn it and go with it: cover your buttocks, if you are wearing leggings.

There is only one exemption from this rule: when you are lounging! One of my favorite lounging piece is my knee length black H&M leggings that are just perfect for those movie with popcorn evenings with a comfy oversized tee. (Which reminds me of: stay tuned, this week I am going to share 5 movies that are perfect for summer daydreaming!) And where to get the best basic leggings? For a good deal go for H&M where you can get a pair for as little as €9.95.

 

The softest leggings I ever touched are from Rituals, but obviously they are a bit more on the pricey side (€22). They are made of 63% cotton with some added elastane fibers for extra elasticity that makes it perfect for yoga as well.

Feel-Good Products

Sunday Shoppe is all about feeling gorgeous in your skin and taking care of your soul from the outside. There are some products on the market that do exactly that: you don’t really need them for anything special but it just feels extremely good to use them.

The originally Dutch, but now widely available cosmetics brand Rituals offers some great feel-good products. My personal favorite is the Yin calming bed & body mist smells simply amazing and is the perfect accessory to put you in a calmer state of mind. I usually use it when I make the bed  and since there is no alcohol in it, it won’t leave stains on the sheets. I also use it sometimes before I get dressed up or if I have trouble falling asleep I directly spray it on my pillow. The smell is really fresh and subtle so you won’t get a headache.

There are some other great products I came across online and would love to give them a try. The thisworks Deep Sleep Pillow Spray is working on your good night sleep with a blend of Lavender, Vetivert and Wild Chamomile.

Other favorite is the dr. feelgood complexion balm from Benefit that can be worn either as a primer or alone. Promises to smooth the fine lines away with Vitamin A, C and E.

INAUGURAL INSPIRATION

 

Nightwear in fashion usually means sequined skirts, sheer dresses and cocktail-hour attire. But it does not have to be like that given you spend your Saturday night in and nightwear in your case really is just your favorite frat-shirt and yoga pants. Nightwear is something you feel comfortable being in, you don’t feel trashy when you get a glimpse of yourself while walking by the mirror and you don’t mind your sweetheart seeing it, either. It might be the aforementioned tee plus pants combo or your silk kimono robe you threw on before you took your most comfortable position on the couch. It is glamorous, as you decided to wear your long fake pearl necklace just to feel a bit Gatsby-y. Or you are wearing your the most expensive underwear in your drawer because you just wanted to feel exclusive while flipping through e-mails for the last time. Best thing about lounging is that you are entirely free to decide what you want to wear and can choose from a huge array of items to do so: incredibly comfortable and soft leggings, your perfect camisole, a figure hugging knee-length jersey dress or an oversized tee. Staying stylish while on off-time is nothing to be sorry for.
